In this programme, students get to explore their musical ability by creating multi-layered pieces of music using existing samples and sound loops. They’ll flex their creative muscles experimenting with splicing, remixing, and changing sound to create a piece of music they can download to play at home. No previous music knowledge is required, just an ear for having fun and being creative!
Music Making is Capital E’s most popular and longest-running education programme where students engage in creative risk-taking and decision making and collaboration. They’ll also leave with new skills in digital technology and overall increased confidence in digital literacy skills.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff is very important to us so we continue to follow Ministry of Health advice and guidelines around physical distancing, hygiene, visitor numbers and contact tracing. All visitors are asked to stay home if they are feeling unwell, to maintain physical distancing while in Capital E and are required to complete contract tracing upon entering via the NZ COVID Tracer app or manually. We’ll continue to monitor advice from the Wellington City Council and Ministry of Health and will share updates here and on social media.
