This year Nōku te Ao Capital E took part in Wellington Pride Festival for the first time, with a free drop-in tamariki workshop held at Ngā Pou Ruahine in Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui.

At Karaone Putiputi, Pōneke girl group The Tīwhas came along to help tamariki make flower crowns out of tissue paper, encouraging self-expression. Moana Road kindly supported us with goodies to be part of a fundraising lucky dip, raising money for future programmes.

The workshop was a great success, with over 350 people visiting us throughout the day and all lucky dip prizes selling out.
