Celebrating 48-hour film success in our Learning team

Congratulations to our Learning Specialist Finn Culver whose film The Pen is Mighty was one of 15 Wellington region finalists in the Vista Foundation 48 Hour Film competition this year.

Over 170 teams competed and Finn’s team Bus Stop Productions received a number of awards. Their film won Best Miniature and Audience Favourite, and was nominated for Best Editing and Rising Star.

The Vista Foundation 48Hours is New Zealand’s largest guerrilla filmmaking competition – filmmakers enter each year with just 48 hours to write, shoot and cut a film with a given genre and a collection of assigned elements.

As one of our Learning Specialists, Finn teaches film and television skills in our OnTV film studio, supporting ākonga to create their own live broadcast from start to finish.
