Over 10,000 tickets have been bought to see the 2015 production of Capital E National Theatre for Children’s Kiwi Moon, and now they’re setting off to the south island for part two of their national tour for school students and early childhood centres.

It’s been almost four months since the cast and crew of the production have been together since their north island adventure. Kiwi Moon performer Whitney Channings recollects highlights of the north island tour including a road trip to sand board in Cape Reinga, and performing in stunning theatre’s across the country including Palmerston North theatre Regent on Broadway.

“The Manukau Theatre is another great place to perform. The kids up there make you feel like you’re in a rock concert. They just go nuts!”

For part two of the Kiwi Moon tour Channings is looking forward to returning to her current home in Christchurch, and at the top of her to-do list is to perform in the recently re-built Isaac Theatre Royal.

“I haven’t performed in the newly built theatre yet. I watched the theatre be re-built brick by brick, so performing there will be very special.”

Among visiting the Isaac Theatre Royal, the cast and crew are visiting 4 other cities including Nelson, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill.

Capital E National Theatre for Children’s Kiwi Moon south island tour kicks off on 2 November – 20 November 2015.

  • Dunedin at Kings & Queens Performing Arts Centre on 10 & 11 November
