Black Dog

by Little Dog Barking Theatre

Black Dog is a story of friendship and love, based on the best-selling illustrated book by New Zealander Pamela Allen. Christina and Black Dog live together in a little cottage on the edge of a forest. They play together, they swim together, they jump, skip and run their way through Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. But one dark, cold day in the middle of winter everything begins to change, Black Dog is left more and more on his own as Christina becomes fascinated with a beautiful bird that she only thought she could see.

A beautiful story about the love of a dog for his best friend.

Made with support from Circa Theatre Charitable Trust, Capital E, Creative New Zealand and Wellington Performing Arts Trust.
