Tamariki Markets - Last Days!

Last day to enjoy Tamariki Markets: Saturday 8 June

It’s nearly time to say ‘haere ra’ to our beloved Tamariki Markets. Join us for some last plays before PlayHQ gets refreshed with a new theme! Please note PlayHQ will be closed for construction between 9-23 June, reopening on Monday 24 June.

We want your feedback! Complete the Tamariki Markets Survey to share your thoughts with our design team.

Tamariki Markets, our interactive play space on Queens Wharf, is designed for tamariki aged 0-5 and their caregivers to enjoy together. At the different activity stations, tamariki can learn about where our food comes from.

Transition from farm to table as you unearth the freshest vegetables at the planter boxes, organise them by colour in the sorting bins, and navigate around bustling food stalls at the marketplace – complete with music, costumes and a picnic area!

Te reo Māori is thoughtfully peppered throughout the play space, where tamariki can enjoy learning new kupu with their parents and caregivers.

Pram parking and accessible bathrooms with a change table available.
