Natalie Briddling is a world-class grump. Wanting to stand out, she’s hōhā with feeling average, ordinary, and middling so she sets out on “probably the most amazing adventure ever!”.
Our latest theatre experience for kids toured schools in Aotearoa in terms 3 and 4, 2023.
Our National Theatre for Children shows tour all across New Zealand! We visit Kerikeri, Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatāne, Taupo, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Napier, Palmerston North, Carterton, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Oamaru, Queenstown, Dunedin and Invercargill.
Why do you value theatre experiences for your tamariki?
“With guidance and encouragement our Tamariki will become increasingly capable of making connections between people and places in their world. Enjoying stories and gaining the ability to hearing stories and retelling them using imagination, invention and experimentation.” – Teacher
“A memorable part of being at school. Prompts great discussion and stories afterwards. A celebration and a way to expose those who might not be given the opportunity, to the world of theatre. Also, most shows have a great take away message.” – Teacher
“This could quite possibly be the only time the children have seen a live performance in a theatre. We don’t have a hall due to the earthquakes and at some point our school will be rebuild so we don’t have many shows. There is something special about live perfomances! – Teacher
