VFX (Year 7+)

Are you a budding film maker? An avid movie viewer? Curious about how visual effects are made? Learn the techniques and tricks that make up the visual shots in movies!

Over an action packed two hour session you’ll design a new movie trailer, using visual effects to tell the story. Students can continue their visual effects learning at home by downloading the same free software.

This digital education experience pairs well with 3D Movie Making.

WHAT SOFTWARE WILL YOU BE USING?

We use the free HitFilm Express software, a great piece of compositing software that is accessible for most learners.

PROGRAMME COSTS
  • $7.50 per student for Wellington Schools OR $10.00 for schools outside of Wellington
  • Teachers and accompanying adults are admitted free
  • We have a minimum session charge of $150.00 for all school group sessions
