An informative and fun-filled programme in collaboration with Education Services, Parliamentary Service.
Start your programme with a 1.5 hour visit to New Zealand’s Parliament – your students will have a chance to experience the buildings first hand, find out how decisions are made there, who makes them, and how the media lets you know what’s happening when Parliament is in action.
Then, come to Capital E to experience the second part of Eye on the Hive in a 2.5 hour session working with our imaginative in-house script that mixes politics with fun. Students create their own news show that looks at a controversial proposal to ban the internet, with reactions from the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Opposition; we meet the candidates for an upcoming swing-seat by-election; a media scrum tackles the issue of changing the voting age; and we have our own Party Political Broadcasts.
Eye on the Hive scoops the political honey from the comb!
Maximum group size is 32 students.
