Kids! Calling all aspiring creators, designers and time travellers! Capital E needs inspiration from the capital’s rangatahi to Design Wellington’s Coolest Little Time Capsule! Be in to win a prize pack from Capital E and Museums Wellington and have your design brought to life in a real time capsule constructed for Children’s Day in March 2021.

What is a time capsule?
A time capsule is a special container that holds letters, secrets and treasures from present day only to be opened by our future-selves.
What does your time capsule look like?
How big is your time capsule? What shape is it? What is it made out of? What does it feel like to touch? How do you put things inside it? How does it keep your taonga safe?

Terms and conditions:
- Time Traveller’s Prize pack includes 1 Family pass (2 Adults, 3 children) to Space Place valid until 31 August 2021 and a $30 Capital E voucher, valid until 31 December 2021. Two dinosaur eggs and a Wellington Cable Car kit set.
- Children’s passes are for those aged under 16 and Adult passes are for those aged 16 and over.
- Open to New Zealand residents only.
- Entries close at 20 December 2020 10pm.
- Winner announced on 22 December via Facebook and/or Instagram and Twitter.
- Selected designs from our Time Capsule competition will be used as the blueprints for a real time capsule that will feature at our Children’s Day event in March and may feature on Capital E and Wellington Museum social media channels.
- No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.

Children’s Day is for all tamariki! Celebrate the gift of children with Capital E and Wellington Museum.
Selected designs from our Time Capsule competition will be used as the blueprints for a real time capsule that will feature at our Children’s Day event in March! See the time capsule brought to life and fill it with letters, trinkets and taonga!
Wellington’s Coolest Little Time Capsule will be part of the Wellington Museum collection and won’t be opened for five years!
