The Story Studio LIVE team have a few requirements for visiting your school.

• Children and young people to perform to. Suits ages 8 – 12-year-olds.
• A staff member to meet our Tour Manager on arrival to be shown where the facilities are.
• We’ll bring the props, set, costume, sound and lighting equipment for the performance. All we need is an indoor space, with a minimum performance area of 5x5m and an area large enough to accommodate your school audience. The audience and performers will all be sitting on the floor so no chairs need to be set up for this, just an empty space.
• Access to four electrical power points.
• Parking for two extra-large vans, preferably near the performance space, with clear access to unload equipment (an accessible pathway with no stairs).
• Access to the performance area for 2.5 hours – 1 hour to set up, 1 hour for the performance, and 30 minutes to pack down. Talk to us about timings if you’re booking more than one performance.

Pricing: 

$1 per child, with a minimum charge of $100.00/performance. Teachers attend free of charge.

Minimum students – 100 

Confirmation Process:

You will be sent an initial invoice for $100.00 (minimum charge) once your booking request has been processed. The deposit must be paid within 10 working days of issue to confirm the booking. The booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and you have received a confirmation email from Capital E.

Final Numbers and Payment:

Final numbers attending will be taken on the day of the performance. Your school will be invoiced for the remaining balance following the performance to ensure accurate numbers. This will be payable by the 20th of the month following.

We are happy for you to invite another school/group to your performance in accordance with your own Covid19 guidelines, however we will only invoice one school for total numbers attending.

Refunds and Cancellations:

We are unable to refund deposits for bookings cancelled less than 20 working days before the performance. Any cancellations occuring prior to 20 working days before the performance must be in writing to the Education Bookings Coordinator. All refunds are at the discretion of Capital E and considered on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements for Story Studio LIVE:

By accepting these Terms and Conditions you are confirming that the school is able to meet the requirements for Story Studio LIVE as detailed on the website.

National Theatre for Children and Covid19

Capital E’s National Theatre for Children Story Studio LIVE performances will only run under Alert Level 1, and are cancelled under Alert Levels 2 and above. If your school’s performance is affected by a change in Alert Levels, Capital E will contact you directly to confirm the cancellation, and where possible offer alternative dates. If your school has arranged to host other schools/education groups at your booked performance, it will be your school’s responsibility to contact and inform them of the cancellation.

In the event that we are unable to deliver Story Studio LIVE to your school, your booking will be transferred to our 2022 Story Studio LIVE tour. If it is not possible to transfer your booking to a new date, then we will process a refund in accordance with our standard refund policy.
