The Lost Letter Office Envelope Challenge

“There’s nothing better than a handmade letter!”

The fabulous letterboxes from our last competition all agree that a letter made with love is a special treasure. They hope the postie will bring them one soon.

And that’s where YOU come in . . .

THE CAPITAL E ENVELOPE CHALLENGE

Step 1 – Create a special envelope. It can be big or small, square or rectangular, patterned or plain. You might like to:

  • Decorate your envelope with pens, paints, glitter or stickers
  • Fold your own envelope out of craft paper, an old drawing, or even a sheet of newspaper. You can learn how here
  • Reuse an old envelope. Just glue some paper over the old address and decorate your envelope for another exciting journey through the post.

Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

Step 2 – Take a photo of your special envelope.

Step 3 – Email the photo to Capital E at capitalecommunications@gmail.com  by Wednesday 8 July 2020.  You’ll be in to win 1 of 3 $30 Capital E vouchers!  Winners drawn 10 July. T&Cs apply*

You can use your envelope to send a card or a letter to someone you love. They’ll get a special surprise – and so will their letterbox!

But wait, there’s more . . .

Capital E National Theatre for Children’s upcoming show, The Lost Letter Office tells the story of two lost letters that go on an amazing journey before finding their way home. We hope you’ll get to see the show when it tours Aotearoa. In the meantime, we’re creating some fun videos and activities to help you explore the magic of writing and sending letters. Visit Capital E’s website to stay POSTED!
